About this Tie Rod

The ELEPHANT RACING 1-96434705801 tie rod connects the steering rack to the steering knuckle, turning the wheels when you turn the steering wheel. Worn tie rods cause loose steering and uneven tire wear and must be replaced promptly.

It transmits steering movement from the rack to each front wheel and sets the wheel's toe angle. Inner and outer tie rods each have a joint that allows the suspension to move while you steer.
