About this Cylinder Head Gasket

The VICTOR REINZ 02-36005-01 cylinder head gasket seals the joint between the engine block and cylinder head, keeping combustion pressure, coolant and oil in their own passages. A failed head gasket can lead to overheating and serious engine damage.

What are the signs of a blown head gasket?

White exhaust smoke with a sweet smell, unexplained coolant loss, overheating, milky residue in the oil or under the filler cap, bubbles in the coolant tank, or a misfire on one cylinder. A combustion leak test can confirm it.
