A failed thermostat or damaged housing can cause a warning light, overheating, difficulty coming up to temperature and coolant leaks. Driving an improperly heated engine can significantly shorten its lifespan. During your thermostat change, fluid loss is inevitable. Be sure to pick up some replacement coolant to keep your vehicle in good shape. Be sure to also replace the o-ring, available as ES#1527715.
