Fitment: ’05-’11 997

This kit provides an easy and cost effective way to replace the rear lower shock mount bushings in the existing upright (wheel carrier). With the oldest 997 cars coming out in 2005, we are seeing these original bushings reaching end of life with increasing frequency.

The factory does not make this bushing available separately from the upright. Historically, replacement of a failed bushing required a complete new upright with bushing included.

Our kit is not only cost effective and easy to install, but performance is enhanced. The spherical bearing eliminates the compliance of the original rubber bushing, allowing the shock to directly control the mass/spring system without interference of rubber in between. This is the reason that race shocks are mounted with spherical bearings instead of rubber.

The result is superior grip and performance.
