Hand Built & Tested

Von shocks are hand-built and tested on a computer shock dyno. Von shocks are pair-matched for consistency unrivaled by any mass-produced shock.

Each matched pair is serialized and delivered with the dyno sheets for the actual pair you receive.

Regardless of brand, identically Configured shocks can generate widely varying damping forces. All shocks are built with manufacturing tolerances that make damping forces deviate from the design target.

Despite using good designs and precision components, the best commercial shock manufactures accept finished product tolerances that are typically +/-15%. That means that by luck of the draw two new, “identical”, tested-good shocks picked from the shelf could vary in damping forces by up to 30%. Cheap shocks can be much worse!

Each Von shock is hand built and every single shock is tested on our computer shock dyno. Using the batch’s dyno plots, we hand select pairs that have similar performance curves. The shocks are then delivered as matched pairs.

Pair-Matched Performance

Pair-matching allows Von shocks to deliver performance consistency that is unrivaled. You are assured that your shocks are tested and will function as a pair to deliver matching damping performance.

Available in two Configurations – You can choose double adjustable (rears only) damping or tuned and fixed damping.

Fixed System – This is a perfectly balanced system with fixed rebound and compression rate. Tuned based on selected performance level chosen. Available for rear shocks and front inserts.

Levels – Choose from 5 standard core valving levels, each tuned to specific torsion bar sizes / spring rates:

  • Level 0 – 18.8/25mm – stock
  • Level 1 – 21/28mm
  • Level 2 – 22/29mm
  • Level 3 – 23/31mm
  • Level 4 – 24/33mm

Coilover capable – Convert to coilover using our threaded sleeve kits.

Shorter Length – Provides more suspension travel for lowered cars.

Monoball Lower Mount – Spherical bearing eliminates rubber compression.
