About these Springs

The SWIFT SPRINGS 045-163-120 B springs support the car's weight and set its ride height. Spring rate and height affect ride comfort, handling and how the car sits, and springs should always be replaced in pairs on the same axle.

Frequently asked questions

What are the signs of a worn or broken spring?

The car sitting lower at one corner, a clunk or rattle over bumps, a visibly cracked or broken coil, or uneven tire wear. Springs can also sag with age, reducing ride height and suspension travel.

Will lowering springs work with my original shocks?

They will fit, but lowering reduces the shock's working travel and many factory shocks are not valved for the higher spring rate. Pairing lowering springs with matching performance or shortened shocks gives better ride quality and shock life.

Do I need an alignment after fitting new springs?

Yes. Changing ride height changes camber and toe, so have a four-wheel alignment done after installation to protect your tires and handling.

Can I install springs myself?

Only with the right equipment. Coil springs store a large amount of energy; compressing them requires a proper spring compressor and doing it incorrectly can cause serious injury. If you do not have the tools and experience, have a professional fit them.

How do I make sure this spring fits my car?

Compare the part numbers listed on this page with the number on your old part or in your vehicle's parts catalog, and check the fitment information. If you are unsure, contact us with your VIN before ordering.
