Storch PLJ MAF Kit - Volkswagen Jetta 1.8 1988-1992 (PLJ-04-106-Jetta)

Storch PLJ hot-film MAF kit for the Volkswagen Jetta 1.8 1988-1992. Replaces the factory flap-type air flow meter with a modern hot-film sensor for a larger intake cross-section, sharper throttle response and more power across the rev range. Made in Germany by Storch Vehicle Electronics.

The PLJ series MAF-sensors differ from the factory-installed air flow meters in that they do not have a throttle valve but instead measure the airflow using the hot film principle. This provides a significantly larger cross-section for the intake air. Combined with the fast and modern evaluation electronics, this leads to increased performance.

The engine control unit (ECU) is always provided with accurate values, which prevents any increased strain on the engine components.

Key Features & Benefits

• Increased engine power and torque throughout the entire RPM range
• Improved engine operation, especially at low RPMs
• Significantly enhanced throttle response
• Completely wear-free due to electronic measuring principle
• Reduced fuel consumption and emissions
• Weight savings of approximately 1.5 kg compared to the original part due to the use of carbon fiber materials
• Full compensation of air density (altitude correction)
• Easy "plug and play" installation (no calibration required)
• CO-calibration via calibration screw
• Reversible installation at any time
• SVE air mass meters can be used within the AEC standard temperature range of -40°C to 105°C and are resistant to oil, fuel, and temperature
• Fully manufactured in Germany
