Adjust front camber and caster +-1.5deg on the Audi C6 and D3 platforms with these forged aluminum adjustable control arms from SPC. OE style booted ball joints and bonded rubber bushings maintain factory ride, handling and noise, vibration, & harshness (NVH) parameters. Audi's unique multi-link suspension creates a 'Virtual' SAI. The factory does not publish a specification for caster, but SPC recommends 5deg to 6deg of caster as a preferred angle for tracking and return to center on these cars. This kit includes four arms to replace both upper links on both sides of the vehicle. For the left hand (LH) side, use #81371. For the right hand (RH) side, use part number #81372. About this Control Arm

The SPC PERFORMANCE SPC81373 control arm links the wheel hub to the car's body or subframe, holding the wheel in position while letting the suspension move. Its bushings and ball joint wear over time, which affects steering precision, tire wear and noise.

What does a control arm do?

It locates the wheel and controls its movement as the suspension travels, keeping alignment angles consistent. Bushings at the body end and a ball joint at the wheel end allow that movement while absorbing vibration.

What are the signs of a worn control arm?

Clunking over bumps, vague or wandering steering, vibration through the steering wheel, uneven tire wear, cracked or torn bushings, or play in the ball joint.

Should I replace control arms in pairs?

Replacing both sides of the same axle keeps handling balanced, and when one side is worn the other is often close behind. Many owners replace related arms and bushings at the same time.

Is anything special needed during installation?

Tighten the bushing bolts with the car at normal ride height, not with the suspension hanging, or the bushings will be pre-loaded and wear early. Use new bolts or nuts where the manufacturer specifies it, and have an alignment done afterwards.
