About this Engine Mount

The MEYLE 100 199 0012 engine mount holds the engine in the car and absorbs its vibration. Mounts are rubber or fluid-filled, and as they age they sag, crack or leak, letting the engine move more and passing vibration into the cabin.

It secures the engine to the body or subframe while isolating engine vibration, and it limits how much the engine rocks under acceleration and braking.

It is possible with the engine properly supported from above or below while the mount is removed. Never work under an engine that is only held by a jack, and tighten fasteners to the manufacturer's specification.
