About this Air Filter

The INJEN INJX-1127-BB air filter cleans the air entering your engine, stopping dust and debris that would otherwise wear internal parts. A clean filter helps keep airflow, fuel economy and engine performance where they should be.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I replace the air filter?

Follow the interval in your car's maintenance schedule, and replace it sooner if you drive in dusty conditions or the filter looks dark and clogged when inspected.

What are the signs of a dirty air filter?

A visibly dirty or clogged element, reduced performance or throttle response, and sometimes lower fuel economy. On modern engines the effect is often gradual, so regular inspection is the best guide.

Is a reusable filter better than a paper filter?

Reusable cotton or synthetic filters can be cleaned and re-oiled instead of replaced. If you use an oiled filter, avoid over-oiling it, because excess oil can contaminate the mass air flow sensor.

Can I replace the air filter myself?

Yes, on most cars it is one of the easiest maintenance jobs: open the airbox, swap the element, and make sure the housing seals properly so no unfiltered air can get past.

How do I make sure this air filter fits my car?

Compare the part numbers listed on this page with the number on your old part or in your vehicle's parts catalog, and check the fitment information. If you are unsure, contact us with your VIN before ordering.
