One of the most important parts of the engine cooling system, the radiator receives heated coolant that has been circulated through the engine block. The heat in the coolant transfers to the thin fins that connect the rows of tubing and then transfers to air passing across the tubes and fins of the radiator. The cooled down antifreeze then returns to the engine. Two major signs of a failing radiator are leaking, and decreased efficiency in the form of raised engine temperatures.
