This round metal gasket prevents leaks between the turbocharger exhaust housing and the downpipe. This gasket is for turbochargers with a seal groove in the exhaust outlet. Earlier turbos use the flat square metal gasket between the turbo and downpipe. Never use the sealing ring and flat gasket together.
