At CTS Turbo we are proud to announce our new lineup of throttle pipes for the VW/Audi 2.0T.  The OEM charge piping leaves something to be desired with inefficient bends, blockages not optimized for performance.  The CTS Turbo throttle pipe increases the entire inside diameter to 2.5" allowing for increased flow and greater performance.  The integrated water methanol bung allows for simple and straight forward installation of kits from Snow Performance.  All of the components included in the CTS throttle pipe kit work flawlessly together to provide increased efficiency, horsepower and torque throughout the entire power band and an aggressive race inspired sound. The CTS TURBO CTS-IT-500 turbocharger uses exhaust energy to spin a turbine that drives a compressor, forcing more air into the engine. More air means more power from a smaller engine, and turbocharger health depends heavily on clean oil.

What causes a turbocharger to fail?

Most failures come from oil problems, such as dirty oil, a blocked oil feed or late oil changes, and from foreign objects entering the turbine or compressor. Find and fix the cause before fitting the new turbo.

What should I replace along with the turbo?

Replace the oil feed and return lines or their seals, all gaskets and single-use fasteners, and change the oil and filter. Clean or replace the intercooler and pipes if the old turbo shed oil or debris into them.

Can I install a turbocharger myself?

It is an involved job with tight access and important oil-priming steps. Prime the turbo with oil before first start and let the engine idle to build oil pressure. An experienced technician is recommended.
