The market leader in fuel delivery systems and components, Aeromotive introduces its first brushless fuel pump series. The same A1000 Fuel Pump the world has come to trust and depend on, now available with the latest brushless-motor technology. Built for up to 65 psi of sustained pressure, featuring our bedrock solid roller vane design that primes easily, reduces friction and improves efficiency. ORB-10 inlet and outlet ports. For EFI applications use regulator P/N 13303 or P/N 13139. For carbureted applications use regulator P/N 13204 or P/N 13304. Perfect for ?blow-through? carbureted engines up to 1200 FWHP. Brushless motors employ sensors to monitor rotor angle to provide faster and more reliable phase shifting, producing more torque capacity and motor efficiency. Instead of the armature rotating, in a brushless motor the magnets rotate around the armature and the motor controller manages the phase shift to keep the motor rotating under load (load is related to pressure in a fuel pump).? With more torque per watt and a higher torque to weight ratio, brushless motors produce lower noise and deliver higher reliability. With a higher level of efficiency, down to fractions of a second in design speed control, the new Aeromotive brushless fuel pumps provide precise control of fuel pump RPM as pressure rises, better maintaining pump RPM and flow, producing a flatter flow curve.? Tight tolerances result in less current draw, less heat and extended life. Now there is the ability to upgrade to a premium brushless pump for faster, more reliable and uninterrupted fuel delivery with less power consumption and potential for wear or failure.

About this Fuel Pump

The AEROMOTIVE AER11183 fuel pump moves fuel from the tank to the engine at the pressure the fuel-injection system needs. Most modern European cars use an electric pump mounted inside the fuel tank, often as part of a module with the fuel-level sender and a strainer.

Frequently asked questions

What does a fuel pump do?

It draws fuel from the tank and delivers it to the engine at the pressure the injection system requires. If pressure drops, the engine can run lean, lose power or fail to start.

What are the signs of a failing fuel pump?

Long cranking before the engine starts, hesitation or loss of power under load, stalling, a whining or buzzing noise from the tank, or a no-start. A clogged filter, a failed relay or a wiring fault can cause the same symptoms, so check fuel pressure before replacing the pump.

Can I replace a fuel pump myself?

On many cars the pump is reached through an access panel under the rear seat or trunk floor; on others the tank has to be lowered. Relieve the fuel system pressure, disconnect the battery, work in a well-ventilated area away from sparks and flames, and fit a new seal or O-ring at the pump flange. If you are unsure, have a professional install it.

What should I replace along with the fuel pump?

Replace the tank seal or O-ring and, if your car has a separate one, the fuel filter. Inspect the strainer and the electrical connector. If the old pump failed because of dirt or debris, clean the tank before fitting the new pump.

How do I make sure this pump fits my car?

Compare the part numbers listed on this page with the number on your old pump or in your vehicle's parts catalog, and check the fitment information. If you are unsure, contact us with your VIN before ordering.
