This control unit is used for the low pressure fuel pump that is located inside the fuel tank. The control unit sits above the fuel pump and receives ECU signals to turn the fuel pump on and off. It also sends the fuel level sending unit readings to the gauge cluster and ECU. If you're fuel pump is no longer activating or your fuel level sensor is reading incorrectly, chances are the control unit has failed.
