This A/C receiver drier serves as a reservoir for refrigerant and oil, and contains desiccant to absorb moisture from the system. Replacing it whenever the A/C system is opened prevents moisture from forming hydrochloric acid that damages components. Fits a wide range of Audi and VW models from 2005–2014.
