The BREMBO P65009N brake pads are the friction material that presses against the brake rotors to stop the car. Pad compound affects stopping power, pedal feel, noise and brake dust, and pads are always replaced as a set for both wheels on an axle.

What are the signs that my brake pads are worn?

A brake-pad warning light, a squeal or grinding noise when braking, longer stopping distances, or less than about 3 mm of pad material visible through the wheel. Grinding usually means the backing plate is touching the rotor and needs immediate attention.

Do I need new rotors with new pads?

Check the rotors' thickness against the minimum stamped on them and look for grooves or vibration. Rotors that are worn, scored or below minimum thickness should be replaced with the pads so the new pads bed in on a fresh surface.
