WHAT IS A PERFORMANCE VALVE?
Valves play a critical role in any performance orientated engine. Upgrading the valves in your VW or Audi engine increases reliability with slow forging processes, upgraded aerospace alloys, CNC machining, and heat treatments to withstand extreme abuse from high-powered race engines and daily driven road vehicles making beyond factory power levels. The power an engine produces is limited to airflow. As the smallest chokepoint in your cylinder head, performance valves are engineered to increase airflow by limiting turbulence created by valve stem obstruction and careful detailing of the valve head and valve angles.
VALVES SOLD INDIVIDUALLY
Supertech 1.8T 20V (058 & 06A) and 2.7T 30V engine valves are sold individually, add the correct amount of intake and/or exhaust valves in the options you desire before adding to cart.

SINGLE GROOVE VALVE KEEPERS
iE Spec Supertech performance valves feature “radial-style” single grooves on the valve stem and require matching single groove valve keepers. Single groove valves are preferred for street performance and race engine builds as the top part of the groove provides a cushion for the lock and aids in the valve stem protection against uncontrolled and excessive valve movement. In addition, the single groove design greatly extends valve stem life by restricting rotation of the valve, preventing accelerated wear by excess movement caused by the factory triple groove design. *Keepers are sold individually; each valve requires two keepers. Be sure to order the correct amount of valve keepers as needed for your engine application. Triple-groove valves reuse stock keepers.
OVERSIZED VALVE OPTION
Supertech valves are available in either standard factory size or oversized valve head diameters. Larger diameter (oversized) valve heads provide an increased skirt area, resulting in further increased airflow at lower valve lifts for the maximum cylinder head efficiency at the valve port. Oversized valves require either aftermarket valve seats or machining to the factory valve seats for installation to match the larger diameter head. Oversized valves are not a direct installation.
VALVE STEM SEALS
Match your performance valves to a set of IE Performance Valve Stem Seals. They are manufactured from heat-resistant Viton for use with the exhaust valves and high-quality polyacrylic for intake valves. These superior-quality materials ensure longer valve seal life on higher-output engines, producing beyond stock power levels.

STAINLESS STEEL INTAKE VALVES
Supertech's intake valves are made exclusively from enhanced EV8 (21-4N) steel. This high-grade steel provides the strength to withstand the abuse from high-powered, high-revving, and turbocharged applications. The stainless steel valve is finished with Black Nitride Coating, a treatment that features harder surfaces and smoother finishes, providing less friction and, subsequently, longer life.
INCONEL EXHAUST VALVES
Inconel material provides the highest level of exhaust valve reliability. Supertech's Inconel exhaust valves are manufactured from a nickel-based alloy, providing incredible temperature distribution that lowers temperatures across the entire cylinder head. Inconel valves are perfect for engines that reach very high exhaust gas temperatures, such as large-frame turbo engines in both street and race applications.
