Break the mold with AirGate™. The AirGate™ Carbon Intake for the B9 SQ5 The AirGate™ Carbon Intake allows options for those seeking more volume from their intake when under boost. Want to hear more turbo induction sounds from within the cabin? Go lidless. Prefer to keep it a bit more stealthy? Simply bolt the AirGate™ lid in place with a few turns of two easily-accessible hex screws, and the AirGate intake transforms into a sealed configuration. Constructed of genuine 2x2 carbon fiber with a UV-stabilized resin and clear coat, the AirGate™ Carbon Intake mounts securely to the stock location and integrates with the factory ducting perfectly via the AirGate’s floating airbox inlet. The S-FLO Filter: The included AWE S-FLO Filter is designed specifically for this air box to be easily serviceable and to maximize airflow. This increase in airflow unlocked maximum gains of 17 hp and 13 lb-ft of torque at the wheels for the 3.0T (note: results are the delta between runs compared to stock, paired with a piggyback tuner). The combination of carbon fiber airbox and included S-FLO Filter makes for a more aggressive intake note, with an intoxicating turbo spool sound. FITMENT NOTE:The AWE AirGate™ Carbon Intake for the B9 SQ5 is NOT applicable to Euro-spec models.

About this Cold Air Intake

The AWE Tuning 2660-15060 air intake system replaces the factory airbox and intake tube to let the engine breathe more freely. Intakes typically bring a sportier induction sound and can improve throttle response, especially on turbocharged engines.

Frequently asked questions

How much power does an intake add?

Gains vary with the engine and are usually modest on a stock car; turbocharged engines and cars with other modifications tend to benefit more. Many buyers choose an intake as much for the sound and response as for power.

Is this intake legal in California?

In California and states that follow its rules, an aftermarket intake must have a CARB Executive Order (EO) number for the specific vehicle to be street legal. Check the product details for an EO number before buying for road use in those states.

Will an intake cause a check-engine light?

A quality intake designed for your car should not. Problems usually come from a poorly sealed connection, a damaged sensor, or over-oiled filters contaminating the mass air flow sensor.

How do I maintain the filter?

Inspect it regularly. Reusable filters can be cleaned and, if they are oiled, re-oiled lightly using the maker's kit. Dry filters can be cleaned or replaced according to the maker's instructions.

How do I make sure this air intake system fits my car?

Compare the part numbers listed on this page with the number on your old part or in your vehicle's parts catalog, and check the fitment information. If you are unsure, contact us with your VIN before ordering.
