Drive by wire throttles are nothing new, almost every modern car is equipped with them, they allow for precise throttle control and the ability to simplify intake systems with fewer parts, wiring and modules to control.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eNo separate idle air control required, the electronic motors can adjust idle air.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eComplete flexibility with throttle sensitivity mapping in the ECU. ITBs are known to be sensitive to throttle position, this can be a good or a bad thing depending on the application, engine specifications and environmental conditions.
