We were lucky to get one of the first MK8R’s to enter the UK and used this opportunity to put \u003cstrong\u003emonths of development and testing\u003c\/strong\u003e into this new induction kit. Our MK8R has been put through countless hours of track day work and hill climbs, alongside the usual daily and spirited driving. This included a tear drop cavity around the bonnet release mechanism to ensure that the airflow stays fast and laminar on its way to the filter element. The 3D printed prototypes helped with comparing our simulation testing to real world driving conditions. However, when paired with our turbo inlet adaptor \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.forgemotorsport.co.uk\/High_Flow_Intake_Hose_for_the_Golf_MK8_R_and_Audi_S3_8Y_RHD_ONLY--product--1997.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eFMTIA5\/9\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003ethe stock EA888 engine saw significant gains, bumping up to \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e16bhp\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e.
