This brake unit mounts to the firewall in the engine bay and creates pressure to boost the volume in the system.

If your brake pedal become stiff and hard to depress, or goes right to the floor with no pressure or feel, sometime the brake booster unit has failed.

The master cylinder mounts in front of the this unit with the reservoir.
