Pumps air into the exhaust system on cold starts to reduce emissions. If no air is injected on a cold start, you may experience a P0410 code, which is directly related to this valve, the emissions air pump, and associated hoses. Additionally, a failed valve will cause exhaust pressure to destroy the emissions pump.
