If the compressor clutch is not engaging when the A/C is activated in your vehicle, chances are there is an electrical issue. This relay, when activated, passes voltage through to the compressor to engage the magnetic clutch that is turned by the drive belt. The compressor pulley is always spinning with the drive belt, but the compressor is not operating unless the clutch is engaged. Restore your A/C function by replacing your faulty A/C clutch control relay.
