The crankshaft pulley is used to drive the accessory belts on the engine. It is located on the end of the crankshaft and transfers rotational movement to the accessory belt, which in turn powers components such as the A/C compressor, alternator, and power steering pump. The pulley includes the vibration damper in to keeps your vehicle from forming excessive vibrations.
