This tester will allow you to tell how well your coolant can protect your engine, by telling you the freezing temperature your coolant can handle. This will also tell you how diluted your coolant mixture is, as a more diluted coolant will have a higher freezing temperature.

Use of this tool is simple, simply remove your coolant reservoir cap, insert the tester's hose in the coolant, fill the test chamber completely and the dial markings will display what your current coolant temperature rating is. Cooling temperature depends on your region of the world, but it is generally recommended for coolant to have a freezing point below -25 degrees Celsius for year round protection.
