992 GT3 GMG Rear Wing Risers

“Born on the track, refined for the street” has long been the moniker here at GMG Racing. Our product lineage is a direct result of processing what we learn in our racing efforts and developing products that marry both function and form for the everyday driver and racer alike. 

Strictly adhering to our product development process, GMG is proud to introduce our latest design for the 992 GT3 platform, our Rear Wing Riser kit. Constructed from billet aluminum, these two-piece risers reposition the rear wing a full 4' higher and 2' rearward, achieving a greater amount of rear downforce and overall vehicle stability, while also offering a unobstructed rear view for the convenience of daily driving. 

Throughout our extensive development at The Thermal Club, we identified that the 992 GT3, featuring the double wishbone suspension geometry, had tremendous front-end grip. Our initial tests with the stock 992 GT3 saw the best performance with the stock aero set at, or nearly at the most aggressive setting, leaving very little room for conditional adjustments while trying to balance the car front to rear, respectively. By adding the GMG Wing Risers we were able to achieve a better balance, increase stability under braking and trail braking, while also leaving room for adjustment, should the conditions necessitate it. 

For the 992 GT3 owner, this upgrade will help maintain the excess movement of the car under high speed cornering, threshold braking and trail braking, where the car needs it most. Leaving room for downforce adjustment at the rear of the car will allow for further refinements complimentary to added dive planes at the front of the car, maximizing allowable downforce. And as an added bonus, the now-unobstructed rear view aids the discerning driver manage traffic visibility, whether driving on the street or the track.
